Calling all UK experts

It looks likely that I will be visiting an area in the UK this fall near Bournemouth. I'm just posting this so that anyone with any insight about the area might find it and post a comment.

Do you know much about Bournemouth? How about Salisbury? Portsmouth?

If your going to be in the southwest there is a few must sees
The third week of sept is always a good party at Stonehenge mainly for the Druids and deep done arn't we all. If your into architecture and I know you are, from reading the blog, you should check out the cathedral in Salisbury, and if you have time Winchester, which is straight east of Salisbury. The whole city is very interesting. I think the cathedral is one of the longest in Europe? don't quote me it's been a while since I was there. Winchester has some major historical significance due to the Domesday Book aka The book of Winchester aka Doomsday Book. It was basically the first census done by William the Conqueror .
A bit down the coast to the west is fictional Fawlty Towers hotel in Torquay on the English Riviera. I think your a John Cleese fan.
