Amazon has the economy figured out

Who says there's a slump in the economy? Not Amazon, that's for sure. This year, on their peak sales day (Dec 15th), Amazon online shoppers ordered a record 6.3 million items.

That beats last year's peak day by almost a million items.

Service has been oustanding, Ma's shredder broke and I ordered another one last minute and she got the thing a couple days BEFORE Christmas! R

Now if only Amazon Canada didn't suck.

The year for me with Amazon has been awful. I had two orders due in to our house by Dec 19th. I still haven't seen them. One is being reshipped when it's back in stock, the other part of it was cancelled. 0 for 2 for me.

Youch. That's not good. I have to say, my experiences with Amazon CA have been good in terms of getting stuff delivered. But how hard is it to pick and box a DVD, right?

I'm with goddess of madness when she says that Amazon Canada needs to get better. The big problem is they only sell CDs, books and DVDs. They don't have even a portion of what's available on the Amazon US site.

Pity.

My friends in Cali have ordered from amazon in the last year:
Air-Pop Corn Popper
Leatherman
Power Sissors
Various Pre-orders on the latest games
Flying Monkey Toys
And
A Table Saw.

I mean come on how is that FAIR?! I'll comment on not being able to find something and they say "Have you tried Amazon?" They do it now to see me twitch I swear
