What's the oldest thing you own?

Darlene and I were thinking about what possession in our home we've had the longest and realized it was a picture made of inlaid wood. This photo doesn't do it justice, nor does it capture the entire piece.

It's an heirloom passed on to Darlene from her parents.

OK, readers, what's the oldest thing you own?

I have an old (100 years old?) oak dining room table. My father purchased it at an auction. I remember my mother going through a phase of furniture refinishing, so she violated the first rule of Antiques Road Show, Do not refinish. However, it needed it badly. Table currently sits in my dining room that never gets used and is a vertical filing space for various groceries and medical supplies. Not my choice, I assure you. RIA

I have a book of German love poems called Bloomen Sprechen. The book is leather bound with gilt edged pages and the date on the cover is 1865. That and the hall crown weighted lamp might the be oldest things. The lamp is glass and cast iron and moves up and down from the ceiling by way of pulleys, chains and a heavy crown that is the counter weight. The hook that holds the lamp has a patent pending date of 1867. Although the light has been made electric, it has been done is such a way that the chord and light fixture can be removed and the lamp returned to coal oil in a matter of 10 minutes.

I have a small porcelain jug, brought over with my Grandma's parents from Ireland (they came over around 1895). I think it was old then, but there are no markings on it.

A roman coin I received from my Grandmother, which turned out to be a counterfeit made in the late 1700s-early 1800s.
